About the Author
Anne Waldman is a celebrated poet, performer, professor, editor, and cultural activist. She is the author of more than forty books, including Marriage: A Sentence; Structure of the World Compared to a Bubble; Manatee/Humanity; and the feminist epic The Iovis Trilogy: Colors in the Mechanism of Concealment. A recipient of the Poetry Society of America's Shelley Memorial Award and a Chancellor of the Academy of American Poets, she lives in New York City and Boulder, Colorado.

Anne Waldman's Gossamurmur speaks in a kind of code that women specifically would recognize and men who know silence may glimpse. I resonated with the identification of "deciders" and the interesting differentiation of self as a poetic vehicle.

words, words, wonder, and magic

This is not the first book of poetry or writings I have read by Anne Waldman. But this is a powerful example of her use of language, diveristy, wonder and magic in her writing. You have to read it out loud to your self to really catch it. I am about to read it again. But it is a contemorary example of the evolving of the. "Beat" soul and heart. 20 stars would be better than five
